Dallas Antique Restoration

I'm looking for opinions on what would be an average rate of pay for woodworkers. I currently work in a small professional shop in Dallas that specializes in custom work. No kitchen cabinet or plywood bookshelf work, just custom designed solid wood furniture, along with a fair amount of repair, antique restoration, and refinishing. A good deal of carving is done here too.

I already know I,m underpaid (I consider it a sacrifice for doing the work I love), but by how much? I've been building furniture for three years and working with wood in some way or another for fourteen years.

I know there going to be a lot of variation from shop to shop and city to city, but right now I have no reference whatsoever. Any opinions or information would be welcome.

My personal opinion is that all workers are overpaid. And people who receive sick pay and paid holidays should be sent to live in a third world country.

I work some times up to six hours a day and am dramatically underpaid. Sometimes I have to borrow money of the indentured slave just so that I can nip up to the pub at lunch time for a few grogs
